• The sling must not be forced through the eye bolt

• A single eyes bolt must not be used to lift a load

• All loads must be gradually lifted.

• All shackles must be inserted with the use of a shackle.

•  Once an eyebolt as worn-out kindly dispose it.

• If an eye screw bolt is being tampered with it can reduce the quality of the eye bolt.

Inspection

Lifting eyes should be routinely inspected for such conditions as:

· Bent shank

· bent eyes

· wear and tear

· Nicks

· Cracks

· Heat, cut and repairs signs

· Absences of marks
